Monoprints

This is my most recent printmaking method. Each print is one of a kind, similar to a monotype, but these prints do not require a printing press. Instead, I use a Gelli plate to build up the image with ink and then transfer it to a sheet of paper. Every print is an experiment. The results are less predictable than monotypes. Fortunately, sometimes you get a print that "works." This series was created with dried seed pods and stalks from a lily plant.
